Q & A SPOILERS

  • Jennifer in Salt Lake City: Hi, how are you? I want to know: What are the chances of Privileged returning for a second season?
I just talked to the lovely Joanna Garcia and asked her that very Q. She says, "I hope the chances are really good. If you know Les Moonves' home number, call him up." As for the show, Joanna spills, "Megan's going to start needing the Baker twins as much as they need her." Last but not least, Joanna weighed in on the biggest Q of all, Charlie or Will: Says Joanna, "I think that there might be some new love interest that might come into play. It's definitely keeping me busy and out of trouble." Mmmm. NEW

  • Nichole in Flynt, Mich.: Privileged please!
We were on the set while new daddy Pete Wentz was filming, and he gave us a little scoop about the "Pete Wentz" he'll be playing: "I'm in a club scene, and we're hanging out. When I walk into the club, it's not really how it works in the world of Pete Wentz. They ask me for the hoodie off my back, and then I have a little bit of a tiff and kind of walk out."

  • YAY, YAY, YAY!!! I'm sooo happy that Charlie is finally gonna tell Megan how he really feels about her, even if it is when he's drunk, lol... tell me, is Megan's shock good shock or bad? -Katie
    Um, yeah, not good. Sorry.

  • Korbi, I've been reading your Privileged information. Is Charlie leaving the show? -Genna
From what I understand, it seems the big C will pack his bags, say his goodbyes and leave Palm Beach in late January. But that doesn't necessarily mean we'll never see him again...

  • Kitty in Las Vegas: Can you spill any secrets on Privileged, aka the most adorable show since Gilmore Girls?
I've got big news. Actually, I've got big, bad news: Megan might be leaving the Baker girls! I'm told that in the finale few episodes of the season, Megan will fulfill her dreams and get a job at a magazine. Can she possibly write for a major periodical, romance the witty and cute editor-in-chief and tutor the terrible two? Aaack! (P.S. Just in case you missed it on Friday, our girl Korbi broke the news that Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz guests in episode 14 of Privileged.)

  • Privileged Information:
You know how Megan's been in the dark regarding Charlie's feelings for her? That won't last. He'll finally confess his love during a drunken night and Megan's reaction will be one of shock...

  • Hey Korbi, I really appreciate your Privileged stuff. Thanks for watching the show and giving me an extra fix. I’m a big Will-Megan fan. What should we call them? Mill? Wegan? What’s coming up for them? -Ali
I think Mill or Wegan works. But if there’s a better suggestion, comment it… What’s coming up? Well, let’s see, I’m hearing rumors of sister Lily’s return, and word is, she and Will will be locking lips. Yeah. Megan won’t take it so well.

  • I am so happy that Charlie isn’t all up in Megan’s grill anymore. They’re way better as friends. Any Will scoop? -Heath
We’ll be meeting Will’s very wealthy parents in a couple weeks and they seem super cool and completely supportive of Megan’s relationship with their son.

  • Benni in Hampton Roads, Va.: Anything on my beloved Privileged?
Will's taking Megan home to meet his mother. Ooh-la-la.>

  • I love Megan and Will, but don't want them to rush into a relationship because then he might not make it to Season 2 as a love interest. I'm curious to see how they play that one... Also, is Lily back for more trouble this season or have we seen the last of her? -Manda
We have not seen the last of Lily. In fact, she'll be back to wreak havoc in Megan and Will's relationship! That's right, Megan and Will are most definitely giving this thing a shot, but his previous dalliance with Lily will bring up a few problems. Brian Hallisay, who plays Will, said there will be various issues and bumps in the road for them, but only because it would be boring otherwise. However, he also mentioned that Will will open his world up to Megan, introduce her to his family and possibly help her get ahead career-wise.

  • Will Megan and Lily ever have a normal relationship? -abcguy
JoAnna Garcia told me she can't imagine that happening. But just because their dynamic is dysfunctional doesn't mean they don't love each other. Rina said there will definitely be times when Megan's down and we see a softer, more caring side of Lily come out.

  • Absolutely love Privileged. It's my new Gilmore Girls! A question for Lucy Hale: We got to hear her wonderful singing voice this week. Will we be hearing the former American Junior winner belt out some vocals in the upcoming episodes? -Chance
Unfortunately, as of now, the answer is no. They haven't filmed Lucy singing again so far -- they'll be moving away from that whole "this is our publicist, we're going to be famous" storyline pretty soon -- but that's not to say they won't. Rina's very well aware of how talented Lucy is and may be thinking of more organic ways to weave her voice into the show.

  • Can you find out if Sage is a lesbian? Anyone else feel like she might be? -Kara
Ha! It never crossed my mind and I'm pretty sure the answer is no. In fact, I met Sage's new love interest, Ignacio Serricchio (Diego on General Hospital), on set -- he is also an avid Friends trivia fan who faces off against Rina -- and it seems like things will get pretty hot between his character and Sage when he joins the Baker staff as Marco's kitchen assistant. Ashley Newbrough, who plays the taller twin, said she's not sure if he'll be able to put up with Sage, but her feelings for the aspiring chef will certainly bring out a more vulnerable side.

  • Is there any hope for Charlie and Megan? -Robbie
Not in the near future. Actually, JoAnna mentioned that Charlie may soon realize his feelings for Megan might have been a bit misdirected.

  • You promised more scoop on Marco's boyfriend. Spill it. -P
The hair stylist b.f. of Marco is being played by David Monahan, Jack McPhee's first boyfriend on Dawson's Creek! Apparently, he's Rina's go-to gay lover!

  • Question for JoAnna Garcia: Are there plans to bring any of her former Reba cast members to the show yet? -Anonymous Indeed. A huge smile swept across JoAnna's face when I asked her this Q. She said, yes! Very soon! ...Also, Christina Pickles, who played Ross and Monica's mom on Friends, is doing a guest stint as a Palm Beach socialite who faces off against Rose over an upcoming charity event.

  • Garcia has stated that she wants the Gossip Girls to do a crossover, so is anyone else doing anything about it, or is it just wishful thinking? I think it would be great for Privileged. -Tony
The answer, straight from the mouth of Ms. Mimoun: "We would love to do a Gossip Girl crossover! We even came up with a really fun idea for Sage and Blair (because clearly they would be friends). The problem is scheduling. With Gossip shooting in New York and us being in L.A., it makes it really difficult. But I'm still hoping we could find a way to make it work..." So, we shall see! Maybe an uproar from fans clamoring to make it happen will help.

  • Delilah n Albuquerque, N.M.: I am loving the new show Privileged. Can you share any info on it?
Me too! And it looks like we're not the only ones; it's in the running for a People's Choice Award, and you can help it win by voting here. On the spoilery side, Lily is going to be arrested! Also, when her mom returns, it turns Megan's world upside down

CASTING SPOILERS

  • Pete Wentz, will make a special cameo in an episode of The CW's Privileged to air in early '09. The ubiquitous Fall Out Boy bassist will play himself in a scene with Max (Andrew J. West) and is likely to appear in a scene with Rose and Sage

Privileged star Joanna Garcia revealed that new papa Pete Wentz shot his much-publicized cameo on the show just yesterday. Appearing as himself, Wentz gets a lot of attention from Rose and Sage Baker (sisters on the show played byAshley Newbrough and Lucy Hale) during a scene that takes place at a record release party. "The girls took pictures with him and it made their boyfriends really jealous," Garcia said. "It's a fun scene." Garcia cooed, "Pete could not have been more delightful." NEW

  • No, not James Franco -- the next best thing: his next of kin! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Dave Franco, the up-and-coming younger brother of movie star James, is joining Privileged for a multi-episode arc. He'll play a love interest for Rose (Lucy Hale). Franco's previous credits include Fox's short-lived comedy debacle Do Not Disturb and ABC's Family's awesome Greek. His Privileged arc kicks off in early '09.

  • Privileged has cast NYPD Blue alum Sharon Lawrence in the pivotal role of Brenda, deadbeat mom to Megan (Joanna Garcia) and Lily (Kristina Apgar). Brash and larger-than-life, Ma resurfaces 15 years after leaving her kids to fulfill her own destiny.

And I repeat: Someone's got some 'spalinin to do.

Lawrence is committed to appearing in two episodes (the first of which airs in January), but that number could climb provided The CW does the right thing and orders this under-appreciated show's back-nine.

What are you waiting for CW? Do the right thing, dammit!

  • Privileged has just cast General Hospital hottie Ignacio Serricchio as a love interest for Palm Beach princess Sage Baker (Ashley Newbrough). Ignacio debuts as Luis in episode 10. Having a honey might make Sage a little more pleasant, don't you think? (Or it might just make her all the more wicked; we'll see.) Will this new love soften up the elder Baker sister?

MISC. SPOILERS

  • From NowCasting.com - Also, in the new casting side for Luis(who interacts with Sage), there's stuff with Mandy(Charlie's love interest)/Charlie(their convo is weird... he talks about how they did something without talking about it and wants her to move in and tells her he likes her. A lot); Rose/Megan(discipline action by Megan); Sage/Luis.

  • From Rina Mimoun - Rina mentioned that in one of the interviews that Mandy, the girl Charlie is dating, wouldn't be good for him

  • Privileged Help - Though Privileged's back nine has not yet been ordered, rumor has it the network will give them a full season. That is very good news for the show's resident chef/butler, Marco. Exec producer Rina Mimoun tells me they have plans to fully flesh out his character later in the year. We'll eventually meet his boyfriend and see how that relationship affects the Baker family.

Thanks to the following sources for great Spoilers!

PAST SPOILERS

Ausiello: Quelle coincidence! I heart JG, too. And since the network has ordered additional scripts, things are looking good for a full-season pick-up.
